Buyer's Guide: Tires For Exercise

How to Use Used Tires For Exercise to Build Up Your Lower Back and Butt

If you've spent any time at all working on your vehicle, you are probably aware of the value of good quality tractor tires. Just as they do for people on bicycles and other types of bicycles, tractor tires do an excellent job of making a person run faster and with less effort when they ride their tractor. The same is true for exercise vehicles. When you ride your stationary bike to work, school, or just around the neighborhood, it's important that your tires give you the best performance possible.

One way to keep old tires in good shape is to recycle them. You may have found that recycling your rubber old tires has become quite fashionable over the last decade or so. It makes sense though to recycle these rubber old tires that are no longer being used. By recycling, you are not only doing something good for the environment but you are also keeping your old tires performing at their peak for many years to come. This is a great opportunity to save some money and to possibly earn a little money too.

Rubber old tires can be recycled in a couple of different ways. You could save them yourself and take them to a Rubber Rebuilders shop to have them recycled. This is a good option for people who aren't sure where to start when it comes to recycling rubber. However, this method will not likely earn you nearly as much money as you would if you were able to recycle your car tires for exercise purposes. Tractor tires are a different story though.

To recycle your rubber old tires for exercise, the first thing you'll need to do is to remove the tread and every last bit of the rubber. Have a pair of heavy-duty scissors ready to cut away any excess rubber when you cut away the tread from your tires. Then take some old, flat tire off of a lawn mower or some similar piece of equipment and lay it on the ground next to where you plan to put the new rubber. Make sure that the tire is straight and that you have a level surface before you begin to work on it.

Once you have your used tires on a flat, level surface it's time to get creative. Get some rope and begin rolling the tire around like you were doing a wheelie. You want to make sure that the tire is in line with the edge of the ground. If you don't have any rope or if the edge of the ground is too sharp to handle, try using a wooden plank instead.

It may sound hard but there are a lot of ways you can get free tractor tires for exercise that won't cost you anything. The first one is to take the flat out of the car and hold it upside down. Use your free hand to flip it over and hold it upside down still. The only part of the tire that should be facing up is the area under the tread.

Another way you can get exercise using a car is by doing leg raises. Start in the standing start position and raise yourself by bending your knees and toes and raising your body as high as possible. Go as far as you can without losing your balance. This can really help to build up your lower back muscles.

Another way you can use old tires for exercises is to do leg curls. Lie down in a fetal position and then raise your body as high as you can and hold it there. Lower yourself back down to the start position and repeat. By using these two exercises each day you will be well on your way to building up your butt and core muscles.
